The Muckler Brothers - August, Frank & Oscar - founded the Southern Equipment Company (SECO) in 1927. Their St. Louis-based business began as a fabrication ship and became known for quality racks, cabinets and hotel pans. In 1980, SECO was sold to Bassington.
In 1999, Affinis acquired the Southern Equipment Company's division of racks, mobile heated/proofing cabinets, stainless steel worktables, and equipment stands. The product line moved to its new home - an 85,000 square foot manufacturing facility in the Indianapolis suburb of Mooresville, Indiana.
Affinis reintroduced the line as SECO SELECT. The name change and new tag line Test our Metal highlight the brand's renowned quality, durability and custom designs.
SECO SELECT products are built to withstand the heavy demands of rugged institutional and commercial kitchens. Kitchen design consultants, institutional customers and high volume kitchen managers can specify custom product designs tailored to meet their needs.
